Molecular biologist interested in the characterization of molecular mechanisms underlying human genetic diseases. His research activity is based on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) and gene editing technologies for modeling neurodegenerative and neuro-developmental diseases in vitro, supported by several national and international grants.
As of January 2022, he is author of 58 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and two patents, with an h-index of 22 and about 3,000 citations (Scopus and WOS). He is a scientific collaborator of D-Tails for the generation, by gene editing, of modified yeast lines for cancer detection applications.
